PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cross talk in a modular jack. SOLUTION: The modular jack 1 has eight spring jack wires L1 to L8, which form input/output terminals, and quick-connection terminals T1 to T8. Each of the quick-connection terminals T1 to T8 consists of a conductor metal frame and a conductor spring, and is electrically connected with each of the spring jack wires L1 to L8. Concerning the quick-connection terminals T1 to T8, T1 and T2, T3 and T6, T4 and T5, and T7 and T8 form wire pairs, respectively, and the metal frames of the wire pairs are mutually aligned in two upper and lower stages, and the upper-stage metal frames themselves and the lower-stage metal frames themselves form the lines that are extended to a transverse direction. In the transverse direction, the T5 adjoins one side of the both sides of the metal frame of the quick-connection terminal T3, and either T1 or T7 adjoins the other side.
