PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plunger-solenoid driving apparatus which can be accommodated in a small space of the apparatus and desired attracting force can be attained. SOLUTION: The plunger-solenoid driving apparatus includes two solenoids 8, 9 whose wire-winding axial centers are located at a predetermined distance in parallel, fixed iron cores 5, 6 which penetrate through the wire-winding axial centers of the solenoids 8, 9, upper and lower yokes 3, 4, 10, which support the iron cores 5, 6 and sandwich the solenoids 8, 9 in the axial direction, and a plunger 2 which is located between the solenoids 8, 9 and can slide along the wire-winding axial direction. The plunger 2 is attracted and driven along the wire-winding axial direction by a magnetic flux induced by the solenoids 8, 9. In the plunger-solenoid driving apparatus, its external width of a predetermined direction can be reduced and it can be easily accommodated in equipment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
