<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a required withstanding voltage of a stick type ignition coil even if an insulating tape is not wound around a primary spool. <P>SOLUTION: A side gate is employed in a die for molding a primary spool 19 and disposed at a part not facing the main part of the secondary winding 22 of the primary spool 19 (other than the winding part 19a). Since deterioration of resin or micro crack occurs at a part not facing the secondary winding 22 (where the applying voltage from the secondary winding 22 is relatively low) in the vicinity of the gate when the gate is disposed at a part other than the winding part 19a, a required withstanding voltage can be ensured even if an insulating tape is not wound around that part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
