PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular metal-body heating device with an iron loss reduced and with superior energy efficiency. SOLUTION: An I core 2 is constituted of a core center part 2a with inclined faces formed at both ends so that in which a length of the I core in the longitudinal direction at the face of a butting side with a U core 3 is made shorter than that of the longitudinal direction of the face of the other side, and of a triangular core end part 2b joined to the inclined faces of the ends of the core center part 2a. The core center part 2a and the core end part 2b are of a structure in which oriented magnetic steel sheets are laminated, a magnetization-easy direction of the oriented magnetic steel sheets of the core center part 2a made directed in the longitudinal direction, and the easy magnetization direction of the oriented magnetic steel sheets of the core end part 2b made in nearly a rectangular direction against the longitudinal direction of the core center part 2a.
