PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety earth retaining wall capable of not only displaying an external appearance with a natural feeling, keeping an ecosystem, but also preventing landslide or the like. SOLUTION: The earth retaining wall erected on the ground is constituted of a plurality of supporting plates 10 installed with spaces in the horizontal direction along the designed slope face, in the condition that the wall is erected on the ground and vertically erected on the designed slope face N, piled gravels 20 stacked in the space between respective adjoining supporting plates 10, stone boards 30 put over between the front end edges of the respective adjoining supporting plates 10 and fixed at both ends, and rock walls 40 where a group of natural rocks are arranged in a position which is on the upper face of the piled gravels 20 and is surrounded by the stone boards 30.
