PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical path changeover switch in which an optical fiber is accurately joined to a desired optical fiber without using a highly accurate component. SOLUTION: In the optical path changeover switch, an optical fiber fixing base 1 on which a plurality of optical fibers 3 are fixed in parallel, a rocking lever 5 on the lower end part of which a movable optical fiber 4 which is abutted to the end face of the optical fiber 3 is fixed, and a rocking lever moving mechanism which is located at a region opposite to a region at which the optical fiber fixing base 1 is located interposing the rocking lever 5 and moves the rocking lever 5 along the arrayed direction of a positioning groove 2 are disposed. The rocking lever moving mechanism is provided with a gear train 9 which is composed of a plurality of gears driven with a stepping motor 8 and a rectangular gear 10 which is engaged with the gear train 9, the rectangular gear 10 is guided by a guiding groove 10a and a guiding pin 5b, and is slid between a bearing part 5a and the lower end. A hammer 7, which presses an end part of the movable optical fiber 4 down to elastically deform the fiber 4 thereby pressing it against the positioning groove 2, is disposed above the optical fiber fixing base 1.
