PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface conversion system capable of enhancing the performance of data transfer operation between 1394 interfaces and a SCSI interface. SOLUTION: The interface conversion system includes the 1394 interfaces 11 and 12, data converters 14, 15 and 16, and the SCSI interface 13. A data conversion process is carried out during the transfer of data between a 1394 protocol and a SCSI protocol.
