PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element by which the excellent liquid crystal display element is manufactured at high productivity. SOLUTION: Plotting is started from one part outside of a seal pattern in a closed loop shape and the plotting is ended at a part outside of the seal pattern in the closed loop shape different from the part where the plotting is started. The plotting is started from an auxiliary seal part 23 outside the seal pattern in the closed loop shape and the plotting is ended at the auxiliary seal part 23 different from the auxiliary seal part 23 where the plotting is started. Even when seal shortage or cobwebbing occurs, it is on the outside of the seal pattern in the closed loop shape and it does not occur inside the seal pattern in the closed loop shape. The excellent liquid crystal display element is manufactured with the high productivity by a dropping injection method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
