PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fuel injection valve operate appropriately without requiring the fuel injection valve to have excessive holding capability, when a battery voltage is low, with regard to an electromagnetic fuel injection valve control system mounted in a direct fuel injection type internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: There is provided a voltage booster for generating higher voltage than that of the battery. When the battery voltage is sufficiently high, a fuel injection valve solenoid is driven by a normal driving method. On this occasion after the high voltage is fed to the solenoid over a predetermined period of time the battery voltage is fed over a predetermined period of time. When the battery voltage is low, the fuel injection valve is driven using a high voltage driving method. On this occasion after a high voltage is continuously fed over a predetermined period (a time t1 to t3) of time, a high voltage is fed intermittently over a predetermined period of time (a time t3 to t2).
