<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat transfer rate and to prevent the accumulation of PM in a gas cooler. <P>SOLUTION: Triangular louvers 13 are mounted on flat parts 12a of an inner fin 12, and arranged in zigzag in such manner that their inclining directions are alternately changed along the waste gas flow. Raised plate parts 12b are provided with hole parts 14 on a connecting part between the flat part 12a and the raised part 12b at a position between a rear end side of the louver 13 and the louver 13 positioned at a back wash side of the louver 13. Thereby the vertical swirl generated at a back wash side of the louver 13 partially flows into an adjacent waste gas passage through the hole part 14, so that the PM accumulated on a face opposite to an opposite side of the louver 13 of an inner wall of a tube is blown out, and the heat transfer rate can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
