PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed an electronic watermark to a video image by adaptively applying processing to the video image while taking account of a motion of the video image, inconspicuousness and remaining capability and to detect the electronic watermark. SOLUTION: An electronic watermark embedding apparatus controls the electronic watermark to be inconspicuous in response to a motion of the video image when the video image moves. Further, the electronic watermark detection apparatus selectively detects a part in which many electronic watermarks are embedded in response to the motion when the video image moves. The conspicuous electronic watermark components are decreased in the moving part to enhance the image quality of the most conspicuous part. Moreover, the embedded amount is decreased in matching with the part having been so far moving so as to increase a detection rate from unmoving parts. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
