PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material containing a compound which increases sensitivity without deteriorating image quality such as graininess. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains a compound represented by formula (1) wherein R<SB>1</SB>is H or a substituent; Z<SB>1</SB>and Z<SB>2</SB>are each N or -C(R<SB>2</SB>)=, when Z<SB>1</SB>is N, Z<SB>2</SB>is -C(R<SB>2</SB>)=, and when Z<SB>2</SB>is N, Z<SB>1</SB>is -C(R<SB>2</SB>)=; and R<SB>2</SB>and Y are each a group described in the specification.
