PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open-close device for a horizontally pulled screen capable of stably imparting the auxiliary force of an open-close operation to a stiles opening and closing the screen by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In the horizontally pulled screen in which a pair of the stiles 1 and 2 are connected by pantograph devices 7a and 7b while the screen is disposed between the stiles 1 and 2, the screen is extended and contracted and can be opened and closed by extending and contracting the pantograph devices 7a and 7b and open-close auxiliary equipment generating the auxiliary force of the open-close operation of the screen is installed to the pantograph devices 7a and 7b, both end sections of the first connecting shaft 8a constituting the pantograph devices 7a and 7b are composed of connecting members 14 conducting a connection through one end sections of the second connecting shafts 8b and urging means 15 imparting urging force urging both end sections of the first connecting shafts 8a in the pulling direction to the connecting members 14 in the open-close auxiliary equipment.
