PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect on a reconstructed attractor a larger number of characteristics which data has, in performing embedding through the estimation of delay parameters. SOLUTION: A method of estimating delay parameters is provided for estimating delay parameters in embedding functions or a data row into a multidimensional space. The method includes selecting a plurality of principal periods included in the functions or the data row (S101 to S104), and estimating the delay parameters independently for each of the plurality of principal periods selected.
