PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex system for quickly executing resumption processing. SOLUTION: In this duplex system, a system control part is provided with a cache sweeping instructing part for instructing cache sweeping to a processor when any failure occurs in its own system and a reset control part for resetting a processor in switching the system. The processor is provided with a flag setting part for controlling the writing of a flag in the specific region of a main memory in completing the cache sweeping based on the cache sweeping instruction from the cache sweeping instructing part and a resumption processing part for controlling the start of first phase restart processing when the flag indicates that cache flash is already completed, and for controlling the start of second phase restart processing when the flash indicates that the cache flash is not completed when the processor is reset by the reset control part, and switched to an operating system.
