PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a defect such as a roller mark on an image on a sheet and to prevent the occurrence of a curl of the sheet. SOLUTION: The transfer material carrying device for carrying a sheet on which image is fixed is characterized in that it is provided with an image surface roller 135 positioned on the image surface side of the sheet and a counter roller 136 opposed to the roller 135, and the roller 135 has length (width) equal to or above the image area of the sheet in a direction orthogonal to a sheet carrying direction, and the roller 136 is separated from the roller 135 by a specified space (gap) (t).
