PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical axis correcting apparatus for correcting a deviation of an optical axis of both a microscope body and a confocal microscope head when the head is connected to the body. SOLUTION: The optical axis correcting apparatus 50 comprises a rotary shaft 52 rotatably mounted coaxially with an optical axis J1 of the microscope body at a lens barrel 9 arranged in the body, a large-diameter section 53 connected to an upper section of the shaft 52, a first correcting member 51 having a first through hole 55 and an oblique hole 56 passing through the section 53 and the shaft 52, an oblique shaft 72 mounted in the hole 56 and rotating at an oblique central axis S3 having a predetermined inclining angle from a rotating central axis S1 of the shaft 52, an oblique large diameter section 73 provided at the upper section and extended to the upper section, and a second correcting member 71 having a second through hole 79 for engaging to hold a confocal microscope head 20 through the shaft 72 and the section 73. The axis S1, the axis S3 and the engaging central axis S2 of the hole 79 cross each other at a focal surface 21 of the head 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
