PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SPM rotor capable of ensuring thermal cycle resistance and moisture resistance by maintaining superior adhesive strength over a long period. SOLUTION: This permanent magnet rotor is constructed by attaching and fixing a plurality of permanent magnets to the outer side face of a rotor core formed of a magnetic material with adhesives. An adhesive section of the rotor core to at least the permanent magnet is covered with Al coating or chemical conversion coating layered on the Al coating and the surface thereof. At least an adhesive section of the permanent magnet to the rotor core is covered with the Al coating or the reformed coating layered on the Al coating and the surface thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
