PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in the use efficiency of a communication line resulting from resending control. SOLUTION: During a TCP session, a mobile machine 1 sends a segment to which an RTO value variation request is added to a web server 4. The web server 4 varies an RTO value according to the RTO value variation request and sets it to a resending timer. Consequently, resending control over a TCP is carried out with the best RTO value for a bearer in use to prevent the use efficiency of the communication line from decreasing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
