PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atmospheric pressure ionization mass spectrometer capable of reducing chemical noises and largely improving the efficiency of ion cleavage in MS/MS. SOLUTION: By heating a space where adiabatic expansion takes place, i.e., an ion guiding space, the cooling of ions and gas is prevented.
