PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a X-ray tube, reducing variation of a X-ray generating position, regardless of the thermal expansion of an anode. SOLUTION: When an electron beam e is irradiated from an electron gun 11, it is irradiated to a plane face 13 in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the anode 12, and a part of it is converted to X-rays x at the X-ray generating position p and is irradiated in the direction of a X-ray irradiating aperture 7 in the rectangular direction to the axial direction of the anode 12. Even if the anode 12 expands thermally in the axial direction, both the irradiation direction of the electron beam e from the electron gun 11 and the direction of the X-ray irradiating aperture 7 mainly irradiating the X-ray x are orthogonal to the axial direction of the anode 12. Since the angle for any of the planar face 13, the electron gun 11 and the X-ray irradiating aperture 7 will not change the X-ray generating position p, as seen from the X-ray irradiating aperture 7 remains fixed, regardless of the thermal expansion of the anode 12.
