PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the technology for sufficiently eliminating the possibility of a rear-end collision of a rocket motor with an airframe. SOLUTION: This separable rocket is composed of the airframe 3 and the rocket motor 1 connected to the airframe 3, and the rocket motor 1 comprises a reverse jetting unit 2 for reversely jetting a combustion gas. The reverse jetting unit 2 is free from a combusting function. As the fuel of the rocket motor 1 remains without fail, the remaining fuel can be effectively utilized to prevent the deflection of the airframe 3. In a case when the reverse jetting unit 2 does not have a combusting function, the combustion gas is the combustion gas for propelling the airframe 3, and the combustion gas immediately after the separation (the rocket motor does not stop the combustion after the separation). The deflection of the airframe can be effectively prevented by utilizing the remaining fuel or the remaining combustion gas. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
