<p>The present invention provides a starter (starter strain mixture) for controlled fermentation of vegetables, fodder and other plant-derived material, which starter comprises lactic acid bacterial strains acting in a way similar to the natural spontaneous lactic acid fermentation. The invention also provides a lactic acid bacterial strain being isolated from plant material, and presumably having probiotic characteristics.</p> |
