The invention relates to a translator for the translation of electrical ener gy from a stationary component to a moving component, comprising a primary winding and a secondary winding. By arranging primary and secondary windings through annular and annular embodiments of grooves said translator can be embodied with smaller dimensions, or translate more power with the same dimensions.
