A respective different wavelength is assigned to each of karaoke places that has a plurality of karaoke player terminals. An optical signal of the assigned wavelength is used to provide communication between a karaoke data center and the respective karaoke place. An OADM installed in the respective karaoke place derives the optical signal of the assigned wavelength from optical signals transmitted over an optical fiber and passes the optical signals of the other wavelengths as they are.
