A connector has a plurality of pairs of signal contacts arranged in a casing,and the designing of the wiring of its substrate and the wiring work are easy.The two signal contacts of each pair of the signal contacts are arranged at a spacing in the longitudinal direction of the casing.With this arrangement,excellent coupling is made between the two signal contacts,so that signals can be transmitted in balance without causing any phase error.The lengths of the wires of the wiring substrate to be connected with the paired signal contacts can be easily equalized,any extra wiring space is not required,and the designing of the wiring of the substrate and the wiring work can be facilitated.
