The central shaft (2) of the umbrella has a pointed lower end (3) and is hollow, facilitating the insertion of a separate walking stick (5, 6). The handle (7) of the walking stick protrudes from the cylindrical upper end (9) of the umbrella which is coated with a soft material in order to serve as a handle (9) when the walking stick (5, 6) is removed for separate use. For separation a control button (8) located at the outer surface of the handle (9) of the umbrella is pressed, causing its lower end to disengage with a recess at the walking stick (5, 6).
