The invention relates to an injection or infusion device for dispensing precise doses of an injectable product, particularly a medicinal agent. In order to be able to make a quantitative statement regarding the risk of dispensing a false dose, the inventive device is provided with at least one detector device detecting accelerations, which is rigidly connected to a housing segment of the device. The detector device can be triggered and/or read out in a continuous or clocked manner and can reversibly or irreversibly change a condition when an acceleration threshold is exceeded. The acceleration thresholds are established on the basis of empirically or theoretically determined thresholds.
