摘要 <p>The invention relates to a reversible method of generating mutated payment cards using a mathematical algorithm. According to the invention, the following three steps are performed in the transmitting centre (3), via the authentication server thereof (5), namely: a first step in which the transaction signature (9) is generated, once the card holder has been authenticated; a second step in which the signature is decimalized (10) in order to produce a valid permutation number; and a third step in which the intermediate digits or positions of the card are permuted (11), with the BIN being fixed by the processor and the check digit being maintained. In this way, the digits forming the expiry date are permuted. Subsequently, the mutated card and expiry date are sent with the transaction data flow (12) to the purchaser's server (7), from where they are returned once again to the transmitting centre (3) and, more specifically, to the processing centre (6) of same. Another three operating steps are performed in said processing centre, namely: the regeneration of the signature (13), the decimalization (14) of said signature; and, finally, the reverse process (15) in order to reproduce the real expiry date and card data.</p>
