A roof mounted solar heating panel has a hollow plastic construction and is shaped and colored to match the existing roof tiles. Solar panels are secured to the roof support with simple fasteners. Several panels can be linked in a vertical array. The panels are fitted with water inlets at the top edges and with water outlets at the bottom edges. These are linked by flexible pipes on the underside of the panels. The to panel is connected to the cold water supply and the bottom panel to the war water outlet. The top panel also has a venting outlet. In frosty weather the panels can be drained to form a double skin thermal insulation.
