The invention relates to an infant care item, in particular designed to dress a young child, comprising an outfit (K) consisting of an upper part (1) above the waist (T) which covers at least the chest of the child, and a lower part (2) which is joined to the upper part (1) and covers at least the pelvis area and inside leg of the child. The inventive item comprises a harness (H) which includes one or several braces (4) which are linked to the outfit by two points of attachment (11A, 22A), the first of which (11A) is disposed on the upper part (1) of the outfit (K). The harness (H) enables the child to be carried when wearing the outfit (K).
