The refuse bin (1) for biodegradable materials is compatible with the MGB 120/240 system. It has swiveling collars (5) inside its lid (6) which prevent exchange of air between the inside of the bin and its surroundings over a long period. An Independent claim is included for a fitting for the bin comprising the collars.
