<p>A transmission method of communication apparatus for transmitting a signal obtained by combining a plurality of kinds of data; the respective data amounts of those data; and a transmission format identification code representative of the combination. This transmission method comprising predicting the data amounts of predetermined kinds of data; discriminating, based on the predicted data amounts, transmission format identification codes among candidates of the foregoing transmission format identification code; retrieving, among the discriminated transmission format identification codes, a transmission format identification code suitable for the transmitted data, for transmission. In this way, the time required to retrieve the transmission format identification code can be reduced, and the transmission quality can be improved by accurately transmitting the data and its transmission format identification code.</p> |
