The railway undercarriage for a railway-road vehicle has a telescopic support with a stepped actuator. The support can have a rotary auxiliary frame with a measuring pantograph to the rear of the cab. The lifting mechanism can be automated with the raised vehicle within a plus or minus two degree variation from a horizontal position.
