A vehicle, in particular when used for the transport of heavy machinery used in road- and other building works is normally fitted with a row of vertical bars (4) attached alongside the loading platform (1), used for fastening securing ropes or chains. A strong bar (2), provided with metal loops (3) at both ends can be inserted horizontally between two of the vertical bars (4) and is held in place by the loops (3) pushed over the bars (4) from above. The loops (3) can be slightly over-sized in order to be used with vertical posts (4) of various dimensions.
