<p>A battery suitably used to constitute a battery assembly, comprising an electrode plate group (3) formed by winding or laminating a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate via a separator, with the core material of the positive electrode plate and the core material of the negative electrode plated exposed respectively at one end thereof and at the other end, a bottomed outer case (2) connected at the bottom thereof to either one end face of the electrode plate group (3) so as to serve as an electrode terminal, electrolyte impregnated into the electrode plate group (3), and a lid (4) connected to the other end face of the electrode plate group (3) and fixed to the outer case (2) via a seal and an insulating means; and a battery assembly connected by the batteries. Connectors provided separately from the lid of a battery are conventionally used to connect batteries, posing problems of too many components and assembly units. A connecting unit (8) to fit and connect to the bottom of the outer case (2) of another battery (1) is integrally formed on the lid (4) of the above battery to thereby solve the above problems.</p> |
