<p>It is intended to provide a method of preparing a high-performance cell extract for a cell-free protein synthesis reaction which comprises eliminating a low-molecular weight substance having an activity of inhibiting the protein synthesis from a cell extract having a cell-free protein synthesis activity by dialysis, gel-filtration, ultrafiltration or the like; and a readymade cell extract for cell-free protein synthesis using the same. By effecting the elimination of the low-molecular weight substance inhibiting the protein synthesis in the co-existence of ATP, GTP or an amino acid, the formation of insoluble substances can be prevented and thus the cell extract can be stabilized.</p> |
