<p>In a first and simplest embodiment of the basic system, there is no MHL (170). Thus, there is no need for the music marker application (160) to create and manage the MHL (170). In this first embodiment, the music marker application (160) retrieves the list of marked tracks from the media player (100) and directly interfaces with the HDD (108) to identify the marked tracks. No record of the tracks is retained in the MHL (170). Otherwise, operation is as described below wherein the music marker application (160) creates and manages the MHL (170). In all implementation of the basic embodiment, there is no interaction between the Jukebox software 150 on the PC and the Music Marker Application (160) for the purpose of registering, identifying or any other interaction with the media player (100).</p> |
