The present invention is related to a printed article comprising a substrate, an ink layer of a traditional offset ink being provided on at least one surface of said substrate, and a lacquer layer being provided on each of said ink layers, characterised in that the article further comprises as a solvent one or more compounds which do not significantly absorb radiation in the region of from 240 nm to 400 nm, and a photoinitiator which is poorly soluble in said solvent, and to a process for preparing said printed article.
