PURPOSE: A host equipped with a flash memory stabilizing function and a method thereof are provided to secure the data stability of a flash memory, and to enhance the reliability of the flash memory by stably storing an FAT(File Allocation Table). CONSTITUTION: The flash memory(20) reads/writes a file by the interfaced host. A flash memory controller(12) records the FAT information to the first region, records a backup of the FAT information to the second region, and updates the backup of the FAT information whenever records the FAT information every constant time according to the time information decided by matching with the flash memory. When a FAT error is detected, the flash memory controller(12) re-maps the address information of the first region storing the FAT information based on the backup of the FAT information.
