MULTICHANNEL A/D CONVERTER AND SYSTEM THEREOF

PURPOSE: A multichannel A/D converter and a system thereof are provided to change a channel selection order and sampling frequencies without correcting hardware, and reduce time delay. CONSTITUTION: A programmable memory(10) has a frame table wherein a channel selection order and sampling frequencies are recorded. A channel selecting unit(20) selects a channel according to the channel selection order recorded in the programmable memory. The channel selecting unit includes a synchronous signal generator generating a synchronous signal, and a channel selection controller outputting a channel selecting signal by referring the channel selection order. A converting unit(30) converts an analog signal of the selected channel into digital data. The converting unit includes a multiplexer receives corresponding analog signals of a plurality of channels for outputting the analog signal of the corresponding channel based on the channel selecting signal, and an A/D(Analog to Digital) converter converts the analog signal to digital data.
