<p>The lock cylinder (2) comprises a core (50) containing a keyway associated with spring-loaded frame-shaped tumblers (5-12). Guide cams (17-24) extending into the tumblers are supported against corresponding inner tracks (26, 27) on the key bit. The guide cam (24) for at least one of the tumblers is urged towards the inner surface of the keyway when the tumbler is in the locking position, so that the slanting guide surface (30) on the inner track (27) at the tip of the key do not move this guide cam once the key has been inserted into the keyway. The inside wall of the tumbler opposite the guide cam also extends into the keyway when the tumbler is in the locking position. The tip of the key bit protrudes slightly beyond the slanting guide surfaces and the corners of this tip are not straight (34, 35), e.g. being rounded, so that when the key bit is inserted into the keyway these corners and the associated key edges (32, 33) press the inside wall of the tumbler out of the keyway sideways, and the guide cam associated with the tumbler is pressed further into the keyway, and the slanting surface on the inner track can be fixed around the guide cam.</p> |
