Wide band sigma-delta modulator

The sigma-delta modulator has a first feedback loop for a spectrally formed output signal (y(k)) of the sigma-delta modulator and a second feedback loop for a spectrally formed differential signal (e(k)) obtained from an intermediate signal (u(k)) and the output signal. The intermediate signal is provided by the differential signal of the input signal and the total signal of both feedback loops, a quantizer (Q) providing the output signal from the input signal. A delay element (Z) generates a propagation time difference between the input signal and the output signal.
