The map is made from a series of rectangular paper or cardboard sections (12) with gaps (14) between their adjacent edges filled by connecting pieces (16) that allow the sections to be folded without damage. The joined sections of the map are covered on both sides with a layer of a transparent plastic and folded by machine.
