摘要 PURPOSE: A plasma addressed liquid crystal display is provided to increase transmissivity and exclude the user of a backlight unit by forming a partition in matrix shape, thereby reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of scan electrodes(2) and a plurality of sustain electrodes(3) are formed on a first glass substrate(1) in stripe shape, being separately arranged at first intervals. A plurality of pairs of the scan electrode and the sustain electrode are separately arranged at second intervals. A partition(4a) is formed on the first glass substrate in matrix shape to limit unit pixel spaces and arranged between the scan electrode and the sustain electrode forming one pair. R, G, and B fluorescent substances(12a,12b,12c) are applied on the first glass substrate including the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes, and sides of the partition. A second glass substrate(5) are attached to the partition to seal the unit pixel spaces. A liquid crystal layer(7) is formed on the second glass substrate. A data electrode(8) is formed on the liquid crystal layer. A polarizing plate(10) is attached to the data electrode.
