摘要 PURPOSE: A method for measurement of an osteoporosis risk factor by measuring polymorphism of genes involved in osteoporotic process and a kit for diagnosis of a genetic risk factor of osteoporosis are provided, thereby easily measuring the possibility of osteoporosis generation. CONSTITUTION: A method for measurement of an osteoporosis risk factor by measuring polymorphism of genes involved in osteoporotic process comprises the steps of: (1) measuring the polymorphism regions of genes relating to osteoporosis from DNA extracted from a sample; and (2) obtaining relationship between the polymorphism regions obtained from the step (1) and the amount of bone density, wherein the gene is selected from LEPR, ER, vitamin D receptor (VDR) and transforming growth factor-beta1(TGF-β1); the polymorphism region of LEFR is selected from Gln223Arg, Ser492Thr, Ala976Asp and Pro1019Pro; the polymorphism region of ER is PvuII and XbaI recognition sites; and the polymorphism is determined by using DNA sequencing, PCR-SSCP analysis, RFLP analysis, allyl specific hybridization or DNA chip method.
