PURPOSE: A steel wire clamp is provided to improve the detection ability of the loose of a drill by monitoring a length of a pin being inserted into a patient body. CONSTITUTION: A K-shaped steel wire and an S-shaped pin are used in a surgical operation. The K-shaped steel wire and the S-shaped pin are inserted into a patient body by a predetermined depth. A drill is provided with one steel wire clamp or two steel wire clamps. The clamp adhered to the drill is sterilized. The clamp is positioned on a middle of the K-shaped steel wire. The steel wire is coupled to a pin being rotated. A length of the drill, which is inserted into the patient body, is monitored through a loose of the steel wire. The clamp is fixed to the patient body to define the length of the drill being inserted into the patient body.
