A portable shelf unit that hooks to the top of a vehicle bench. The unit consists of a metal bracket that hooks to the top of the bench, folding hinges and a table surface. The shelf hangs from the front bench to be used by the rear passenger as a laptop table. The shelf can also be used for other purposes, by children as a colouring table, to write on, or for any other purpose of a regular shelf. The shelf can fold from a horizontal position to a vertical position when no t in use or removed from the vehicle entirely. The shelf is portable and is not permanently attached to the vehicle bench.
