PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramics material which is as strong as a reinforced porcelain, and has a bulk specific gravity that is as small as a common porcelain, a light transmission, and a high texture. SOLUTION: The ceramics material is characterized in that it is obtained by providing a raw composition having been compounded with 20-50% of siliceous materials those are silica raw materials containing at least amorphous silica, 10-30% of feldspathic materials, and 25-45% of kaolinic materials as a main raw material, pulverizing the raw composition to a particle size of 30μm or less, molding a raw body, firing the raw body at a firing temperature of 1,250-1,400°C, and crystallizing out cristobalite in the range of 5-50%, preferably 10-40% into the sintered ceramic raw body, in that the crystallized cristobalite has a particle size of less than 1μm, and in that the sintered ceramic raw body has a high bending strength, a bulk specific gravity of not more than 2.5, and a light transmission.
