PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron oxide powder for a chip inductor capable of obtaining a ferrite which has a large specific surface area, can be calcined at a low temperature and is excellent in pulverization. SOLUTION: This iron oxide powder comprises an Fe2O3primary particle having the particle diameter of 0.02-0.2μm, and its agglomerated particle.
